My nephew, baby Archie as we all call him, is such a little bundle of joy. He was wide awake for this photo shoot, and never made a peep. He was a big baby at birth, and loves to eat, so I'm glad I could capture these moments while he's still little, because it won't last long!
It's been a while since I posted anything here, so I thought what better time than now, after returning from a beautiful wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica. One of my best friends allowed me the honor to stand beside her as she and her husband said their vows, on white sandy beaches, with turquoise waters and palm trees as their backdrop. It was perfect! It's a vacation and a celebration I will never forget. Its ok to let yourself dream of being there when you look at these pictures. With the -9 below temps we're having here currently, I'd go back to Jamaica in a heartbeat!
I was able to get a few good ones of my sister, Jess, and her daughter, Calla. They can't wait for Daddy to be home from Saudi soon, and for baby Boy to arrive in February. Calla's curls are so cute, don't you think?
I had the pleasure of capturing a few cute images for my friends, the Hackbarth's. Their little girl, Adalyn, is almost 1 1/2 and is such a doll. She did so good. I can't wait to see what their Christmas cards turn out like.
I had the pleasure of capturing some pretty cute pictures of this little princess tonight. Dusk was starting to set in, so there wasn't much light to capture the beautiful fall colors, but I think they still turned out great. Jayda sure opened up and started to have fun with her photo shoot. It helps to be able to sing "Let it Go" from Frozen on top of a big rock!
I may have "borrowed" these ideas from Pinterest, but they were too cute not to share. Kasen is sure lucky to have this Grandpa in his life. Our tradition of visiting the fire hall on his birthday each year is his favorite thing to do. Thank you "Boppa!"
Every morning when we need to get going to leave the house, I tell Kasen to go put his shoes on.... and every morning he comes out from the back closet with a different pair of Scott's shoes on. I can hardly get mad at him (even though we're usually running late and in a hurry), because it's too darn cute. When I saw this idea on Pinterest, I had to make it for Scott. Kasen is lucky to have Scott as his Daddy!
Layla and her mom came over this morning, in hopes of getting some cute Easter pictures in her beautiful dress. Well... we got a few, along with some tears. She is such a pretty, little girl.
Kasen had a few friends over today (along with their moms) for a play date. What a perfect opportunity to take a few pics of these growing babes! It seems like just yesterday, we were visiting each one of them in the hospital when they were born. They're shown in order from oldest to youngest.
Carly says, "Enough with the snow... bring on Easter!"
Layla has big, beautiful eyes and is almost 11 months old. What a doll!
Adalyn is 9 months old, and despite her teething, had plenty of smiles for us today.
Henry is 7 1/2 months old and is growing so fast. Kasen can't wait for this little guy to play trucks with him (not that all the girls won't).
At the end of our photo shoot, we had this "awesome" idea to take a picture of all 5 kids together, because we had taken one back in October in their Halloween costumes. Here's a picture from that day, followed by one from today. As you can see, even though Kasen might be the oldest, he definitely doesn't act it. Carly and Layla weren't too happy either, and the babies sat the nicest.
I'm a teacher by day and mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, God-mother and friend by night. When I'm not hanging out with my favorite little man, Kasen, working out, playing volleyball, continuing my professional education, crocheting, or spending time at the lake, I fill my time by taking photos of friends and family.
